Charlotte Church reveals creepy fans wanted her to sign fake NUDES of herself at peak of childhood fame
MASKED Singer star Charlotte Church shared the disturbing news of how creepy fans would ask her to sign fake nudes of herself during her childhood.
The star shared the disturbing news as she discussed her childhood stories with Kate Garraway on her ITV show tonight.
Charlotte revealed on Kate Garraway's Life Stories how she would have fans approach her with fake nudes of herself asking for her to sign them.
The pop singer shared details on how some fans would approach her with bizarre claims and requests and how she dealt with them.
The 35-year-old star shared: “There was one guy who collected my shoes. He was pretty gross.
"I don’t know [how he got them]. He turned up somewhere that I was and had all these shoes that had been mine from things like an advert that I had been in and wanted me to sign them all."
In regards to the fake nudes, she explained: "People would often turn up to shows as well with fake nudes of me and ask me to sign them. I’d be like, are you serious? They are not my bosoms and even if they were I wouldn’t signing [them]… what do you think you are doing?!’”
She also went on to add: “I remember having fans at signings who would be shaking from head to toe to meet me, and it was weird.
"I had another guy backstage at a show in New York who was convinced I had cured him of his brain cancer through listening to my music.”
The singer rose to fame in 1997 at the age of 11 after she called into This Morning and sang the opera classic 'Pie Jesu'.
Immediately after she was invited to sing on Jonathan Ross’ Big, Big Talent Show and was told by Ross she would become a star.
As Charlotte continued to climb further into fame, she was asked to appear on the prestigious Oprah Winfrey Show.
Church later carved out a successful pop career and was granted her own show called The Charlotte Church Show on Channel 4.
