"As a middle eastern American, I would be embarrassed of putting out a spread that looked like that. Looks like chips, hummus, and a cookie cake?" one trolled.

"I saw some meats and cheeses in the back, otherwise that’s it. It’s pretty pathetic," a second agreed.

A third ranted: "That's the saddest looking 'party'. No people, a zillion empty convention chairs lined up at the bar, all in a darkened room.

"Not one homemade specialty party food in sight. Depressing."

"That plate of chopped cucumbers is the saddest to me. Just cucumbers on a plate. Really screams LIT PARTY," another agreed.

SHAMED FAMILY

The Duggar family has been laying fairly low since Michelle and Jim Bob's eldest son Josh, 33, was found guilty on counts of child pornography.

However, they did recently return to the public eye during a vacation to visit Jinger Duggar, 28, and her husband Jeremy Vuolo, 34, in Los Angeles.

CALIFORNIA DREAMING

The TV star reunited with her motherMichelle, and some of her siblings during their trip to the west coast, after snubbing them all over the Christmas holiday.

The ex-reality star was spotted on a stroll with her mother, Jana, 32, and brothers Jason, 21, and James, 20.

The group attended a morning church service together before grabbing lunch at fast-food joint In 'N Out.

Photos also showed them at an auto repair shop before heading back for the evening.

Their mood was surprisingly upbeat after the drama surrounding their family in recent months - namely due to Josh's child sex abuse case.

EXTENDED TRIP

Jana even decided to stay a few extra days with her younger sister, as they shared photos of some special bonding time.

The mother of two's husband Jeremy, with whom she moved out to California in 2019, shared a sweet snap of the sisters hanging out over the weekend.

They lounged around in the living and dining area in casual T-shirts, with their hair up in ponytails and messy buns.

The girls looked serious as they worked on a puzzle, concentrating on an image of what the final product is supposed to look like.

Counting On alums Jinger and Jana had the pieces all laid out on a black backdrop, working to connect all of the bits.

Only a portion of it had been completed, but it appeared to be an image of colorful buildings with a purple-blue night sky.

Jeremy took the photo of the sisters and shared it to his Instagram, writing: “Sister act.”

Jana re-shared the snapshot to her own Story and added that she had “So much fun!”

All of the excitement had to come to an end on Friday, though, when Jana said goodbye to Jinger, her husband, and their kids Felicity, three, and Evangeline, one.

“Headed home! It’s been a great trip,” she wrote with the photo.
