Who is Anna Delvey?

Anna Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, is a convicted fraud who lived her life by creating fake characters of herself.

Sorokin was born on January 23, 1991 in Moscow, Russia. In 2007, her family moved to Germany, and she later moved to London to attend Central Saint Martins.

She eventually dropped out and moved back to home to Germany before moving to Paris for a fashion magazine internship at Purple.

During her internship, Sorokin flew to New York City to cover New York Fashion Week and ended up staying longer than anticipated in the Big Apple.

Exploiting her title in the fashion industry, Sorokin began building a whole new facade.

How much was Anna Delvey paid for the Netflix show?

Netflix released the series, Inventing Anna, on February 11, 2022.

Sorokin was allegedly paid $320,000 from Netflix to turn her rollercoaster life into a TV show, according to .

With legal fees and debt to her victims, however, Sorokin is left with approximately $22,000.

Where is Anna Delvey today?

Sorokin was first sentenced to jail in 2019 but was released early in February 2021.

After her time in prison, Sorokin immediately started settling her debt and fines, then re-entered the luxurious Manhattan life.

With many interviews and a potential fashion collaboration, Sorokin's Instagram was the epitome of a glam girl.

The glam life didn't last, however, as Sorokin was arrested once again in March 2021. She was taken by immigration authorities with her visa problems.

Sorokin remained in custody in Orange County Correctional Facility in New York for 17 months while waiting for her immigration decision.

On October 5, 2022, Sorokin was granted release from ICE custody amidst her deportation fight.

This release was granted with a $10,000 bail as well as round-the-clock home confinement with electronic monitoring.

As part of the deal, Sorokin's right to be active on social media was revoked.
