The show started streaming back in December and follows the life of bounty hunter Boba Fett fight for Jabba the Hutt's old territory.

The seventh episode of the first series was released today - and many took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it.

One tweeted: "Wow. What an anti-climax. Lazy. Boring. Predictable. Sloppy. So disappointed with that ending. If not for Ep5 and 6, that would have been worse than Rise of Skywalker."

Another said: "Well, it was only fitting to have a strange ending to a very strange series. And I'm guessing they set up yet another series with that post credit scene."

"The fact that #TheBookOfBobaFett was just #TheMandalorian season 2.5 really upset me. Cool seeing Mando n' all, but did we really need 3 whole episodes to segue in to S3? Lack luster ending too, felt meh after it all. Mandalorian 2.5 portion - 8/10 , Boba Fett portion - 3.5/10," a third chimed in.

A fourth added: "Well, that was a flashy episode of #TheBookOfBobaFett the ending fell a little flat for me, but otherwise it was fun to watch. episode 2 is probably still my fave of this series."

Meanwhile others were quite pleased with how it ended.

Another tweeted: "Good ending overall but it doesn‘t come close to my expectations after the last two episodes... a bit predictable today sadly. But I guess there‘s gonna be a second season so let‘s see."

A sixth said: "Shout out to #TheBookOfBobaFett season finale last night. It was exciting and amazing. I’d give the series a 7/10 overall. JUST because Din stole Boba’s spotlight for two episodes. Make the next season all about Boba next time @starwars."

"#TheBookOfBobaFett PERFECT way to end," a seventh chimed in.

It comes after viewers were left sobbing after two Star Wars legends returned in dramatic fashion in episode six.

Din Djarin travelled to see the “little friend” he mentioned at the end of the previous episode - and that turns out to be, as fans expected, Grogu.

Luke then went on to meet Ahsoka Tano, who was Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan before he turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader.
