But it's Northern Irish actor Conleth, 57, who will potentially catch viewers attention, if they recognise him that is.

Conleth sports a head of silver and grey hair - a stark contrast to how Game of Thrones fans will remember him during his stint as Varys.

Varys - also known as the Spider - was the eunuch Master of Whisperers and was completely bald.

Meanwhile Magpie Murders is based on the Anthony Horowitz novel of the same name, and sees Conleth play best-selling mystery writer Alan Conway.

Alan hands over his last manuscript but the final chapter is missing.

Things go from bad to worse when Alan is then murdered, leading Lesley's literary agent character Susan to not only try and find the final chapter to keep her business going, but also work out who killed Alan.

A trailer for the series shows Susan realising that the people around Alan in the run up to his death were characters in his book, and that was why the last chapter was missing.

Fans of a whodunnit will no doubt enjoy the "murder mystery within a murder mystery", which also stars Pippa Haywood and Michael Maloney.
