Phillip Schofield forced to miss This Morning reunion with Holly Willoughby due to Covid as his home floods

PHILLIP Schofield's coronavirus hell continues as he's forced to miss tomorrow's This Morning after testing positive again.

The presenter, 59, was hopeful he'd be able to resume work tomorrow after missing tonight's Dancing On Ice and all of last week's This Morning shows.

Holly Willoughby hasn't been on This Morning with Phil for three weeks

Holly and Phil have been apart on This Morning for three weeks after she was absent with another telly project, and they're going to have to wait a little bit longer to partner each other again.

Sharing a picture of his positive test, Phillip wrote on Instagram: "This really is the day that keeps on giving!! Sorry This Morning and Holly Willoughby."

Earlier this morning Phillip revealed his home had flooded, but the damage would have been much worse had he not been in at the time to cut off the leak.

He shared pictures of damage to the ceiling and light fittings as well as a soaked floor.

He reassured fans that he was "surprisingly calm" despite the run of bad luck he's had.

Yesterday Phillip announced he'd be absent from tonight's Dancing On Ice.

Sharing a picture of his previous latest lateral flow tests, he wrote on Instagram: "Sorry Dancing On Ice. Have an amazing show Stephen Mulhern it's so much fun x."

He has regularly posted from his home, where he has his own voice recording studio so he can continue to work while isolating.

The ITV star also revealed he has been working through TV box sets while his place on This Morning is filled by stand-in hosts including Vernon Kay, Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson.

Dancing On Ice was always at the forefront of his mind, with him saying: "There’s a number of things I’m disappointed about.

“Obviously I’m disappointed that I’m not there, we’re a little bit worried about Dancing on Ice as I’m cutting it a bit fine for Dancing on Ice on Sunday.”

The skating show will be in safe hands though as Holly Willoughby remains in place and Stephen has a wealth of big show experience from Catchphrase to In For A Penny.
