TOTAL LIBERTY

I was born with big boobs and I don’t care if people think I’m not classy, says Dancing on Ice’s Liberty Poole

SHE spent last summer scantily clad on national TV, so Love Island’s Liberty Poole is used to having her sensational figure on display.

But when she made her daring debut for Dancing On Ice last month she didn’t expect the backlash she’d face over her boobs.

, 22, took to the ice in a red hot number that showed off her cleavage which instantly had a handful of viewers criticising her.

But she said: “I've always had naturally full boobs and I understand that if I had smaller boobs, it might be a bit classier. Well, classier in some people's eyes.

“But that's really something that I can't help and why should I change what I want to wear so it pleases other people?

“I'm not going to stop being myself to please other people or change myself in any way. I'm me at the end of the day, and I've always had naturally big boobs and that's the way it is.

“I felt like the best version of me and as long as I feel that way, then it doesn't matter what other people say. Sorry, not sorry!”

Former Nando’s waitress Liberty has become used to having her body objectified and it’s not something she’s willing to apologise for.

In fact, Liberty will defy the haters and carry on wearing whatever she wants, regardless of how revealing it may be.

Her reaction is no surprise coming from the woman who personified female empowerment following heartbreak in ITV2’s hit dating show.

She paired with Jake Cornish on day one and the couple quickly became the most loved up couple in the villa.

But after weeks, their romance hit the skids thanks to a series of negative comments Jake made about Liberty, including branding her messy.

Liberty says she enjoys dressing up in the themed costumes for Dancing On Ice

Liberty called time on their relationship before the series finale claiming she’d rather be single than stay with someone who wouldn’t accept her for who she is.

That move won her an army of loyal fans and since leaving the show she’s become one of the stand out stars and bagged a series of lucrative deals that have helped her build an estimated £1.7million fortune.

Now she hopes Dancing On Ice can help her be seen as more than just her looks.

She added: “I think because I've come from Love Island I have comments on my appearance and what I look like quite a lot.

“I'd rather just stay away from that and help people to get to know me as a person, what I have to offer as a person and my personality.

“That's way much more important than what anyone looks like. I can't speak for what other people are thinking when they look at the show, but all I know is I'm having the time of my life and I'm not going to let people's opinions effect that.

“If I've been born with these boobs, it's not my fault. You know what I mean?”

But Dancing On Ice fans were not only distracted by her boobs when she took to the ice for the first time, they also couldn’t help noticing her choice in music.

Along with professional partner, Joe Johnson, she danced to the Little Mix hit Shout Out To My Ex, which many took as a dig at Jake.

But Liberty’s quick to shut down that rumour as she explained: “I know that people might think that it's directed at Jake, but it was more of a focus on me being an independent woman.

“That was the way it was choreographed, me being an independent woman and not needing a man.

“I can see why some people would think that, though, but if you look at the choreography, it actually wasn't about that.”

When Liberty takes to the ice tomorrow night she’ll be flashing the flesh again in a sexy black and white number as she tackles the 80s dance of Voguing.

It’s a far cry from the animal outfit she slipped into last weekend when she was transformed into a zebra for movie week.

For Liberty, embracing all the outfits is part of her Dancing On Ice experience.

She added: “I love getting glammed up. I always have my tan, my lashes on. I've always had big hair. That's always been something that I love.

“But when it comes to outfits, I'm just thinking about getting into character on the ice. I think the outfits each week are very alternative.

“My outfit this week will be completely different. The outfits help me get more into character. I'm loving every second.”

While she may love the outfits, one thing that’s proving tough is all the hours she’s having to put into training ahead of Sunday’s live show.

She said: “It’s been a shock to the system. It's definitely challenging, because there's quite a lot of stuff that you don't realise goes into figure skating.

“When I used to go around with my mates and stuff, I just used to go forward and think, "Oh yeah, I'm skating."

“But when it comes to figure skating, you've got to put your hips forward, hold your core in position, not let your bum go behind you, straighten your legs, point your toes.

“In warm ups, me and Joe will do ballet to help me with figure skating and I've never done that before.

“So it's all these new challenges, but I'm loving learning a new challenge.”
