TV CHEF Tom Kerridge called out presenter Naga Munchetty for apparently “pulling a face” after he revealed his favourite pub grub on today’s BBC Breakfast.
Tom, 48, appeared on the popular BBC morning show to talk about the return of Pub in the Park later this year following disruptions during the pandemic.
As the celeb chef discussed the hit music and street food festival, hosted by Michelin star chefs, Naga asked: "If you could only ever have one pub meal for the rest of your life what would it be?"
The owner of the Hand and Flowers, the only UK pub with two Michelin stars, answered: "I mean, it's got to be fish and chips hasn't it? It's well known throughout the world. And if it’s done properly, fish and chips is just the greatest thing out there”.
However, Tom then began to suspect that Naga, 44, didn't quite fancy his pick.
"Are you turning your nose up at that?" he asked the Streatham-born presenter.
Blushing, she was fast in replying with: "No. I wasn’t turning my nose up at that, but it’s just…"
At that point, Charlie Stayt jumped in to question his co-host: “Were you turning your nose up at it?"

"No”, Naga promised as she giggled nervously. “No”.
“There was a face. Charlie, there was a face. There was a face”, Tom insisted.
The chef roared with laughter and clapped his hands as Charlie claimed he hadn’t seen the face.
Naga sprung to her own defence, bristling: “It’s the one I was born with. I can’t do much about that. But…”
She then erupted out in laughter herself, adding: “I just think I would want something more flavoursome. I’d probably choose…”
The presenter struggled to come up with an alternative and grimaced as Tom and Charlie chuckled away.
Standing by his choice, Tom stated: “Fish, chips, curry sauce, mushy peas, tartar sauce”.
Naga put her hand up in disagreement, declaring: “You’ve got it wrong with the curry sauce!”
"And gravy”, Tom added excitedly before Charlie swiftly moved the conversation on.
