Inside Stacey Solomon’s incredible £3.6million transformation from X Factor single mum to huge BBC star
IT’S been nearly 13 years since Stacey Solomon burst onto our TV screens as she belted out What A Wonderful World on the X Factor.
At the time she had just turned 19, was a single mum at college, working part time at a fish and chip shop.
She was just 17 when she fell pregnant with her eldest Zach, with ex-boyfriend Dean Cox.
Fast-forward to 2022 and the 32-year-old is thought to be worth £3.6million, she’s about to marry Joe Swash who she recently had her fourth child with and her BBC show Sort Your Life Out has just been recommissioned for a second series.
Interestingly, Stacey never dreamed of being famous and when she went on the X Factor and ended up in third place, she simply wanted to be a singer.
She explained in the past: "I never wanted to be famous, I don't think that was much of a thing when I was growing up.
"The whole famous thing didn't come around until I was in the public eye, and then there was more reality TV and people did just want to be famous.
“I grew up dreaming of wanting to be a singer."
She admitted she tried to get on the show numerous times before finally getting a place and despite doing well she went back to work in the fish and chip afterwards.
But her life changed forever in 2010 when she won I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!.
Her singing career took a back seat and instead she became the nation’s sweetheart – appearing on This Morning and various other TV shows.
Over the last ten years, Stacey went on to have three more children -, Leighton with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham and Rex and Rose with Joe Swash.
During that time she has amassed an incredible five million Instagram followers, who watch her every move as she shares her home hacks and family life.
Her Tap To Tidy catchphrase went viral on the social media platform and led to her having her own book and paved the way for her job on Sort Your Life Out.
The BBC show sees Stacey and her team transform families' lives by decluttering their homes and the first series proved to be a huge hit.
She is also a regular panellist on Loose Women and she has boosted her income by designing two wildly popular collections for high street giant Primark - which flew off shelves in record times.
On top of that she signed a six figure deal with In The Style and has brought out a series of collections with them.
She now lives in £1.2 million home in Essex with her brood, which she is in the process of renovating room by room.
