unhappy ending

The Woman in The House viewers all have the same complaint about Kristen Bell’s new Netflix series

NETFLIX recently dropped its hilariously named dark comedy series The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, and viewers hated the finale.

After reaching the last of eight gripping episodes, many viewers flocked to Twitter to savage the “dumb ending”.

Viewers can’t stand the ending to Kristen Bell’s new series The Woman in The House

One wrote: “So I watchedThe Woman in the House on Netflix last week when I was giving platelets, and so a captive audience, and it was… not good? I love myself a good B mystery, and it was kind of supposed to be poking fun at B mysteries, but it came across as sincere, just with a dumb ending”.

A second added: “This ending feels too nice & neat.”

A third commented: “Well, The Woman in the House was great for 7 episodes and then just fell right off in the final episode. Extremely disappointed in the ending to what felt like a great psychological thriller”.

A fourth admitted: “The ending of the Woman in the House went over my head”.

While a fifth simply asked:  “What is that ending???”

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window is a parody of psychological thrillers like Rear Window and The Girl on the Train, starring Kristen Bell as a painter who loves to spy on her hunky neighbour.

An outcast in her community, Anna enjoys loading up on a daily cocktail of prescription meds and booze, which causes vivid hallucinations.

When the 40-something claims she witnessed the murder of her hot neighbour’s air hostess girlfriend, everyone brands her “crazy” and she starts to doubt herself too.

So, Anna does what any good psycho-thriller protagonist would do and takes the law into her own hands, but does her fear of the rain get in the way?

The series landed on the streaming platform last week to mixed reviews, with some blasting its glacial pace and intentionally hefty title.

Others praised Bell’s amazing deadpan comedy, but why was the ending so bad? Watch on Netflix now to find out!
