THE Tinder Swindler has finally dropped on Netflix, but those who have watched it have been left scratching their heads.
The documentary tells the jaw-dropping story of conman Shimon Hayut, who posed as a billionaire playboy on the dating app - but viewers aren’t convinced.
A synopsis for the true-crime doc reads: "Swipe, swipe, swipe… It’s not easy to find love online, so when Cecilie matches with a handsome billionaire playboy, she can’t quite believe it when he turns out to be the man of her dreams.
"But dreams aren't reality and by the time she discovers this international businessman isn’t who he says he is, it’s too late. He’s taken her for everything.”
Since launching on the streaming service on Wednesday, viewers have spared no time in watching the entire thing.
Taking to Twitter, one person penned: "Currently binging The Tinder Swindler."
Someone else wrote: "Was waiting for this documentary on Netflix. What a crazy, crazy story. Definitely worth streaming."
Another viewer added: "Have y’all watched The Tinder Swindler? I can’t be gasping on my own!"
Not everyone was impressed, however, as one viewer tweeted: "The Tinder Swindler is one of the dumbest stories that I have ever seen."
A second added: "Jesus, this Tinder Swindler documentary is seriously stressing me out."
