Tinie Tempah set for ANOTHER career change as he bags new BBC show Extraordinary Portraits
TINIE Tempah is gearing up for yet another career change after bagging a presenter gig on BBC arts show Extraordinary Portraits.
The rapper, who is a keen art collector himself, will be presenting the six-part series from next month, much to the delight of his fans.
It comes after the 33-year-old turned TV presenter on Channel 4's Extraordinary Extensions last year, bringing his property expertise into play for the first time.
And now the rapper will be delving into the arts industry, with his upcoming show exploring the art of portrait-making as everyday heroes from the public who have "extraordinary stories" that are "immortalised in art".
One episode will feature Patrick Hutchinson, the personal trainer who made headlines after he was photographed helping an injured man to safety during a Black Lives Matter protest in London in 2020.
In another instalment, twins Georgia and Melissa Laurie, who were involved in a near-fatal crocodile attack in Mexico last year, will also feature.
The subjects will then be partnered up with celebrated artists who will be challenged to turn "personal and powerful experiences into compelling portraits".
Speaking of his upcoming role, the Pass Out chart-topper said: "I wanted to put a spotlight on contemporary British heroes.
"To hear their stories and help create an opportunity where the world can learn about them and their experience through art.
"Portraits are powerful, and a great way of achieving this, but historically they have been reserved for “high society”.’
Extraordinary Portraits airs on BBC One on Monday, February 14.
