Emmerdale villain Pierce Harris’ son Marcus is dangerous like his killer rapist dad teases newcomer Darcy Grey
EMMERDALE newcomer Darcy Grey has teased his character Marcus will be more like his dangerous killer dad Pierce Harris than first realised.
The actor will make his debut as Marcus next month when evil Pierce contacts ex-wife Rhona from prison to ask for help in finding his long lost son.
Actor Darcy teased: “I think we all don’t think that we’re like our parents in real life.
“I think Marcus likes to think he’s nothing like his dad but I think that instinctual thing comes out of him through the story, that’s the bit that we’ll tend to see that he is quite similar to his dad at some point.”
Pierce hasn’t been seen in the village in over two years since murdering Rhona’s partner Graham Foster.
But when Rhona shockingly agrees to help Pierce, she has no idea it will bring his son Marcus to the village - and into her life.
Actor Darcy Grey takes the role of Marcus Dean, who hasn’t seen Pierce since he and his mother fled his abusive ways.
The mention of Pierce, who is still serving time in prison for raping Rhona, is certain to bring back anxiety and trauma for Rhona, and she will have to dig deep to overcome the terrible experiences of her past, so can she allow Marcus into her life?

“However, people will soon realise there's more to Marcus than merely being the son of Pierce.
“But will our villagers give him a chance, or will he be forever doomed to live in the shadow of his father's heinous crimes?
“We're delighted to welcome Darcy to the show and we're sure he'll certainly make quite the impression on villagers and viewers alike.”
