Emmerdale boss promises explosive fight for The Woolpack after Al Chapman’s scheme fails
EMMERDALE bosses have promised an explosive battle to buy The Woolpack later this year.
The pub is currently gutted after being blown up by Al Chapman on Christmas Day in a botched insurance scam.
He destroyed it in the hopes it would force Chas and Marlon to agree to sell up so he could develop it into flats.
But after overplaying his hand, Al has been left with nothing.
And because of the development plans, the insurance company has voided the policy, forcing them all to take drastic action.
The shock news means owners Chas, Marlon and Al have no choice but to sell the pub as it is.
And there’s going to be a battle for who buys the pub and re-launches it.
It will also see Chas and Paddy struggle to cope with their home gone for good.
Producer Laura teased things getting even worse for Chas and Paddy this year.

“From the ashes of Christmas Day, we're going to see a shiny new Woolpack emerge this year.
