Happy Valley reveals string of new stars joining season 3 – here’s where you’ve seen them before
HAPPY Valley is returning for a third season - and there is a string of new stars joining the show.
The BBC One crime drama series first hit our screens back in 2014, followed by a second two years later.
Filming for the final instalment of the show has already began, and actress Sarah Lancashire has reprised her role of Sergeant Catherine Cawood.
She will be joined by the likes of James Norton and Siobhan Finneran, who play Tommy Lee Royce and Clare Cartwright.
And a new season means there will be new faces joining the cast.
The Other One star Amit Shah, who played Marcus in BBC comedy in 2020, is one of the newbies.
He recently starred in the ITV crime drama The Long Call.
Mark Stanley, who has been in The Girl Before, White House Farm and Game of Thrones, is now also part of the cast.

The 33-year-old Leeds-born star played Grenn in the HBO series, and most recently took on the role of Henry VIII in the Channel 5 show Anne Boleyn.
Mollie Winnard - who played Kayla Clifton in Coronation Street in 2018 - has got a part in the upcoming series.
Most recently she played Maggie in All Creatures Great and Small in 2020.
It comes after Sarah Lancashire was spotted filming for Happy Valley after six years off screen.
The cast have reunited in West Yorkshire for the final instalment of the popular drama.
The last season attracted an average audience of 9.3million people and has won TWO BAFTA Television awards for both Best Drama Series and Best Drama Writer for creator and writer Sally Wainwright.
The show follows Catherine Cawood as she fights crime in the Yorkshire borough of Calderdale.
Speaking about the third season last year, Wainwright said she was “delighted” to see the final instalment of the hit series renewed.
She said: “I’m delighted to find myself back in the world of Catherine Cawood and her family and colleagues for the final instalment of the Happy Valley trilogy.
"It’s been wonderful to see the lasting impact this series has had on audiences all over the world.
