Spiderman star looks unrecognisable as a baby-faced teen before starring in biggest film of 2021

Spiderman star Tom Holland looks unrecognisable in a throwback snap as a teenager before starring in biggest film of 2021.

The actor, 25, shot to fame in 2016 as Peter Parker AKA Spiderman in the blockbuster Captain America: Civil War.

In the throwback snap a baby-faced Tom is seen smirking to the camera with a dark mauve hoodie on and a budgie on his shoulder.

The award-winning actor uploaded the pic to Twitter in 2012 with the caption: "I'm a pirate arrrrrrr."

The selfie is a stark contrast to what fans know the actor to look like as she now as he's usually on our screens rocking a Spiderman costume.

Over the past six years Tom has played the legendary character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero films.

These include Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).

He most recently reprised the role for the twenty seventh film in the franchise, Spider-Man: No Way Home, which premiered in December 2021.

The blockbuster has received raving reviews and many fans loved the on-screen chemistry between him and Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, 25, who plays his love interest MJ.

The pair have starred in all three Spiderman movies together and first sparked dating rumors in 2017.

However the two shut down the rumors, however, claimed that they were the "best of friends."

Then in July last year The Sun then exclusively obtained photos of the pair kissing, reigniting the rumor mill that the pair are in fact dating.

Tom has been praised for his amazing acting skills in the films, and was awarded the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2016, when he was just 20-years-old.

Before Spiderman, the TV star played the lead role in Billy Elliot The Musical between 2008 and 2010.

He also starred in The Impossible as Lucas Bennett, Thomas Nickerson in In The Heart of the Sea, and Isaac in How I Live Now.

From 2016 Tom has landed roles in Irish medieval film Pilgrimage, American fantasy Dolittle, animation Onward, and thriller The Devil All the Time.

Last year not only did he star in Spiderman, but he was the lead role in American crime drama Cherry, and Todd Hewitt in action film Chaos Walking.

Tom is due to star in adventure film Uncharted this year.
