Who won Dancing On Ice 2022?

AFTER an impressive nine weeks, the three Dancing On Ice finalists took to the ice one more time in a bid to win the coveted title.

Twelve skaters began the competition back in January 2022, with eliminations taking place each week, but only one can be crowned the champion.

Who won Dancing On Ice 2022?

The Dancing On Ice final on Sunday, March 27, 2022, was a battle between Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne.

Regan and his professional skating partner Karina Manta opened the proceedings with a performance to Step In Time from Mary Poppins.

Kimberly then took to the ice with Mark Hanretty, skating to the Joni Mitchell classic River.

Finally Brendan and skate pro Vanessa Bauer put on a strong Matador on ice performance, with all three pairings getting a perfect 40 out of 40 from judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

After a second skate of perfect scores it was neck and neck and down to the public to choose who would perform Torvill and Dean's Bolero.

Unfortunately it was Kimberly who was given the axe with the two men fighting it out in a nail-biting finish.

Finally it was announced that Paul Gascoigne's son, dancer Regan, was the winner, with former Strictly professional Brendan in second.

Regan was a firm fan favourite throughout the series and was incredibly emotional as his name was announced.

He and partner Karina had achieved consistently high scores throughout the competition, challenging at the top of the leaderboard each week.

Asked by host Holly Willoughby whether he would keep skating, Brendan gave a strong affirmative as the other dancers celebrated.

For Regan, the win was "overwhelming" as he believed it was "impossible" that he would lift the trophy.

Will there be another series of Dancing On Ice?

At the end of the Dancing On Ice final, Phillip Schofield confirmed another series would return in 2023.

The 2023 series will be season 15 of the skating show.

The return date has not been announced, but will likely be around January 2023, with contestants being announced in the autumn of 2022.

Who was eliminated from Dancing On Ice?

The eliminated skaters all returned for the grand finale on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

Fans were thrilled to see Bez return to the ice after his remarkable time on the show.
