AFTER Life finally dropped its third and final season on Netflix today, and sharp-eyed fans of the bittersweet Ricky Gervais comedy have spotted a familiar face.
Ewen MacIntosh, who played Keith Bishop in The Office alongside funnyman Gervais, turned up briefly in the third episode.
When journalist Tony and his colleague went off to interview someone for a story, they were met by a plump, boring fella just as expressionless as Big Keith himself.
In the episode, Ewen’s character - simply listed as “Buffet Man” in the end credits - was left fuming after being banned from an all-you-can-eat restaurant.
The eatery chucked him out, explaining that his insatiable appetite was “putting them out of business” and that they’d “never seen anything like it”.
The drastic move came after giving Buffet Man several warnings for eating too much - every day, from lunch right through to dinner, to be precise.
But he asked: “How can I eat too much if it’s ‘all I can eat’?”
“Good point”, replied Tony.

The character was a nice little nod to Keith, an accounts worker who enjoyed mundane office chats and Scotch eggs, and it sent fans into overdrive.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “OMG, KEITH FROM THE OFFICE SHOWS UP IN AFTER LIFE S3”.
A second added: “Keith from the Office in the trailer for Afterlife series 3…can it get any better!”
A third commented: “Good to see Keith from The Office making an appearance in season 3 of After Life”.
Ewen’s appearance follows a post from another Twitter user back in 2019, asking: “Any chance you could get Big Keith from The Office involved in the new After Life?”
A massive coincidence or did the post give Ricky Gervais one of the most ingenious ideas he’s ever had?
