As the show opened, Ranvir greeted viewers but didn't offer any explanation as to Lorraine's absence, leaving many viewers puzzled.

However, others were distracted by Ranvir's appearance, as the star looked fantastic in a lilac ensemble featuring a wrap over neckline and long sleeves.

With her hair long and loose around her shoulders, viewers couldn't get enough, with one writing on Twitter: "Definitely an image to warm up a cold Friday morning. Rocking the purple."

Another added: "Wow u look incredible this morning on Lorraine."

A third tweeted: "Ranvir looks SMOKING on #lorraine."

Meanwhile a fourth agreed, writing: "How gorgeous does @ranvir01 look this morning on @lorraine #greathair."

Ranvir has stood in for Lorraine before, and is one of the presenters to take over the show while the 62-year-old is on holiday.

Last month The Sun Online revealed Ranvir had found love with toyboy Louis Church, 26, after meeting on Strictly Come Dancing.

Louis was a production secretary on her series in 2020, and speaking exclusively to The Sun about their romance, Ranvir gushed: “I’m really happy.”

Ranvir and Louis went public with their relationship last month when they attended Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard at London’s O2 Arena.

Ranvir confirmed she had divorced her former husband in 2020, eight years after their wedding in 2012.
