Tracy Beaker star Alicia Hooper looks unrecognisable with her own family 18 years after playing Amber Hearst
SHE'S known for playing the Dumping Ground's resident bad girl Amber in The Story of Tracy Beaker.
But 18 years on Alicia Hooper is unrecognisable - and has chosen a slightly different career.
According to 35-year-old Alicia's Instagram bio she's a "professional singer and peripatetic vocal coach".
She's also proud mum to daughter Alba-Rae.
But Alicia looks back fondly on her time as Amber. This week she shared a series of throwback snaps of her and Tracy actress Dani Harmer on set of the CBBC show.
One of the snaps included Amber with The Cheeky Girls, and Dani commented: "The Cheeky Girls 🤣! Why do I have zero idea what they’re doing there 🤣🙈xxx."
Alicia replied: "It was the children in need episode and guess they were a big deal at the time 😂🤷🏼♀️."
Last year Dani, 32, returned in reboot My Mum Tracy Beaker and to celebrate Alicia posted another collection of throwbacks.

She wrote: "So as the new Tracy Beaker reboot debuted yesterday, this week has been pure nostalgia overload!
"I will forever be grateful for my time on this fantastic show and the lovely people I got to meet along the way.
"Thanks everyone for continuing to support and show love to the brilliant and talented @missdanijharmer and @monnie_05 in the new series.
You are both amazing!"
Alicia also opened up about her favourite moments on the show, telling Radio Times: "Growing up, The Story of Tracy Beaker was literally my favourite book, so being asked to be part of the TV series was a dream come true.
"I was 15 when I joined the cast and filmed all of the second series throughout the summer holidays.
"I think one of my favourite moments out of the series was when they all had to get jobs.
"It’s like they had a glimpse of what life would be like in the real world and it was pure comedy watching them all as individuals trying to navigate what they were going to do to try and earn money!"
