I got sick and tired of people saying Tommy would propose in New York – he DIDN’T but we’ll get engaged this year

MOLLY-MAE Hague has joked she's "sick and tired" of people saying Tommy Fury would propose to her in New York.

The couple, both 22, just got back from a romantic break to the Big Apple and their millions of fans speculated the entire time that boxer Tommy would get down on one knee.

But in her latest YouTube video, Molly said: "I'm getting a little bit sick and tired... no I'm joking, I'm not getting sick and tired but every single person thinks Tommy's proposing to me out here but he literally booked this trip two days ago."

Filming from bed in their NYC hotel room, Molly continued: "This hasn't been planned for long at all. I can promise you guys, he is not proposing to me."

As Tommy grinned at the camera she quipped: "Don't act like you are Tommy because we all know that you're not and everyone's gonna be like, 'oh he is!' I promise, he's not.

When Tommy looked at the camera with raised eyebrows, Molly quickly added: "I'm not saying that you won't propose at some point in the next year, but I know this trip is not the one."

Molly and Tommy's trip to New York came after The Sun revealed he'd been ring shopping.

A source said: "Tommy has put in a call to a designer jewellers about engagement rings for Molly-Mae. He hasn't decided when he's actually going to pop the question yet but he knows what he's looking for.

Molly-Mae has made no secret of the fact she wants to get married soon and she recently admitted she's ready for boxer Tommy to get down on one knee.

She said: "I’d like a ring soon, please… at some point. We've been together two and a bit years and it’s been the best two and a bit years of my life with everything with my work, with my relationship. I'm just so lucky."

Last year Tommy suggested a wedding wouldn't be far off. During an Instagram Q&A, when asked when he propose to Molly Mae, he replied: "Sooner than you think."
