Davina McCall reveals shock new short hairstyle on The Masked Singer

THE Masked Singer panellist Davina McCall wowed fans with her shock hair transformation last night.

The 54-year-old presenter showed off her super short bob on Sunday night's show.

Wearing a dazzling sequin dress with a black feather trim, all eyes were on Davina's dramatic new hairdo.

On Sunday's debut episode, the TV star sported a long sleek high ponytail without the sweeping fringe.

However, fans can be rest assured that Davina has not chopped off her brunette tresses and instead donned a wig.

The former Big Brother presenter's partner and long-term friend Michael Douglas worked his magic to create the stunning new look.

Michael, who is a hairdresser, shared snaps of the transformation process on social media and told fans that the wavy bob was simply a wig.

Davina beamed for a series of snaps and gave fans a glimpse of the her getting the wig fitted.

Michael penned: "Tonight’s hair doo is all someone’s else’s. A wig from @pakcosmetics straight out of the box, I did very little prep just a blast of hairspray.

"I’d like to use this again in future, but maybe cut 5cm off the length. Enjoy the show tonight. Happy guessing. Xxx Hair by me."

ITV viewers were obsessed with Davina's bouncy bob and flocked to compliment the panellist.

One wrote: "Omg want my hair cut now! love it x"

Another posted: "Amazing how shorter hair makes everyone look younger! It’s like we hold onto hair length to make us look younger but does the opposite. Know what I’m doing tomorrow either buying a good wig or getting my hair cut."

A third commented: "@ThisisDavina loving your hair tonight on #TheMaskedSinger."

However, not all fans were loving the new look, with one writing: "Davina is looking a bit mumsy tonight with her hair like that."

Another shared: "What the f*** is that ridiculous wig Davina's got on???"

Last night, viewers were hooked as they continued to guess the identity behind another set of masked singers.

The second celebrity was unveiled as Loose Women's Gloria Hunniford.

The broadcaster, 81, disguised herself as a Snow Leopard and belted out Peggy Lee's Big Spender.

The classic track, coupled with the clue "my word is my bond", had Davina McCall and Rita Ora convinced it was a Bond actress, with them wrongly guessing Jane Seymour and Judi Dench, respectively.

Some viewers guessed along the same lines, however, many did correctly name Gloria as the character.

Judge Jonathan Ross hit the nail on the head, successfully deducing Gloria's radio background.

Viewers picked up on her accent and were further convinced by the clue that she doesn't like water, knowing that she is unable to swim.

One tweeted: "guessed correct #MaskedSinger Gloria Hunniford #mask."

Another said: "Gloria Hunniford I knew it."

A third said: "Its so annoying when they pick the one you know it is already!! Gloria Hunniford."

She narrowly lost out to Bagpipes, who the judges think is a former tennis pro, and Rockhopper, who some think is a Pussycat Doll.

Gloria's unmasking comes a day after M People singer Heather Small, 56, was revealed as Chandelier.
