Emmerdale spoilers: Tracy Metcalfe’s exit storyline revealed as she leaves the village
TRACY Metcalfe has gone through a few rocky months following the birth of daughter Frankie.
The character has struggled with postnatal depression while also dealing with her breakup from Nate Robinson and his infidelity.
Although he swears he remained faithful (despite crashing on a strange woman's sofa after a night out and being exposed for being unfaithful with one of Tracy's friends), her struggle to forgive his lies led her to kick him out of their home and will be taking centre stage in her exit storyline, set to air in January, 2022.
While their breakup has caused drama in the Dales - with Tracy's sister Vanessa even getting embroiled in the lover's quarrel - both young parents appear determined to co-parent their daughter.
Thus when Tracy asks Nate to look after Frankie while she goes to her PND seminar, in an upcoming Emmerdale episode, the young man is pleased to see that the atmosphere between them is beginning to thaw.
Later on, Nate receives a word of advice from Sam on how to win Tracy back.

However, the pair's happy-ever-after does not seem to be in the works as of yet.
Tracy hints that she may also have plans of her own when she tells Charity that she has been offered a promising job in Nottingham.
A dilemma soon takes hold of Tracy, who has already been devastated by baby Frankie's first word.
While she is encouraged to take the opportunity by Charity, Nate's reaction to the news remind her of the disruption her moving away would cause in her personal life.
Angered by the announcement, Nate questions Tracy's ability to cope in a new city, alone with Frankie.

This leads the young mother's insecurities to resurface, subsequently convincing her to give up all hope at a new life away from the Dales.
Nate's resentment eventually makes way for a feeling of guilt as he realises that he has crushed Tracy's dream.

Tracy's departure from Emmerdale coincides with actress Amy Walsh's impending maternity leave.
Fans of the ITV soap have been getting ready to say goodbye to Tracy Metcalfe since September, 2021, when Amy announced her own baby joy alongside her partner, EastEnders' Toby-Alexander Smith.
The couple are expecting their first baby together.
