Emmerdale spoilers: Meena Jutla kills two more victims by gassing them alive in horrifying plot

NEW Year, same old Meena. With 2022 starting, the nurse could have done with making some resolutions.

But the serial killer (played by Paige Sandhu) appears to be stuck in her old ways as she sets out on a horrifying murder plot.

Since her first appearance in September 2020, Meena has caused quite a stir in the Dales.

However, it was not until June last year that Manpreet's sister showed her true colours.

Taunting Leanna Cavanagh before killing her, Meena revealed she had been responsible for her former best friend Nadine's mysterious death all along.

Since then, Meena has set out on a murderous rampage and has ended the lives of four characters including Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker.

Determined to keep her secrets under wraps, Meena even let Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) take the fall for the latter's death.

Undoubtedly thinking she could get away scot-free with her murder spree, Meena was then confronted with her own sister's suspicions.

In a Christmas Eve episode, Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) met up with Nadine's sister Carol.

She slowly comes to the conclusion that her younger sister is anything but innocent.

Staring at the truth in the face, Manpreet fools her sister into believing she remembers nothing of her sister's crimes.

While she planned to silence her sister, Meena had no idea Vinny (Bradley Johnson) was also set out on her trail.

But as the walls are closing in on her, Meena is willing to go to any lengths to keep her secrets.

Far from shy when it comes to murder, Meena is not against holding Manpreet and Vinny captive.

And in an upcoming Emmerdale episode, set to air this month, Meena is backed into a corner and plans two horrifying murders.

When Liam expresses growing concerns about Meena, he soon reveals to her that he has known about her fake pregnancy.

A disconcerted Meena deflects and threatens to accuse him of sexually harassing her at the surgery Christmas party if he ever came too close to her business again.

This is bad news for both Manpreet and Vinny, held captive in a barn by the serial killer.

A manic Meena informs both characters that Liam's snoopping has escalated her plans, before confirming that this would be their last day alive.

Driving the Dingle van into the barn, Meena leaves a terrified Manpreet and Vinny contemplating death as there will be no escape from the exhaust fumes from the vehicle.

But when Vinny never shows up for a visit with Liv, Mandy (Lisa Riley) is deeply concerned.

Could she be the one to save the day?
