Harry Potter stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint admit they almost QUIT films as they struggled with fame
HARRY Potter stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint confessed they nearly quit being part of the iconic franchise after struggling with being famous.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint have spoken about what went on behind the scenes as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the first film in the franchise.
The success after Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 2001 meant the famous trio had to deal with fame before they were teenagers.
Emma, 31, admitted she did a lot of journaling at the time as "the fame thing had finally hit home in a big way.
"I think I was scared. I don't know if you ever felt like it got to a tipping point where you were like, 'This is kind of forever now.'
"It was around the time of Order of the Phoenix when things started getting spicy for all of us."
Likewise, Rupert, 33, said: "I also had sort of similar feelings to Emma, contemplating what life would be like if I called it a day.
"We never really spoke about it. I guess we were just going through it at our own pace, we were kind of in the moment at the time.
"It just didn't really occur to us that we were all probably kind of having similar feelings."

Director David Yates was informed about Emma's concerns about not continuing as Hermione Grainger.
Luckily, Emma changed her mind as she couldn't say farewell to her cast mates or the franchise.
She added: "The fans genuinely wanted you to succeed, and we all genuinely have each other's backs. How great is that?"
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is set to debut on January 1, 2022 on HBO Max as well as on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK.
