However, viewers were shocked to learn Gino hadn't heard of 1968 classic British film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The first round of the show saw contestants guess the top seven Christmas films.

In a bid to guess the last answer on the board, Gino had heard of Wizard of Oz, Jack Frost, Snow White and Love Actually.

But, when a contestant Mark guessed Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Gino asked: "There's a movie called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?"

He looked around at other contestants for confirmation at what he thought was a bizarre answer.

As the other contestants nodded, he then looked into the camera very confused that it was a film title.

Fans took to Twitter to share their disbelief that Gino had never heard of the movie classic.

One said: "As if you don't know what Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is?!"

Another wrote: "@Ginofantastico doesn't know Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! #FamilyFortunes"

A third penned: "chitty chitty bang bang is one of the best movies to watch at Christmas I don't care it isn't a ‘Christmas movie’."

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a 1968 British musical-fantasy film directed by Ken Hughes with a screenplay co-written by Roald Dahl and Hughes, loosely based on Ian Fleming's novel Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang: The Magical Car (1964).

The film stars Dick Van Dyke, Sally Ann Howes, Adrian Hall, Heather Ripley, Lionel Jeffries, Benny Hill, James Robertson Justice, Robert Helpmann, Barbara Windsor and Gert Fröbe.

The plot follows a down-on-his-luck inventor who turns a broken-down Grand Prix car into a fancy vehicle for his children.

Then they go off on a magical fantasy adventure to save their grandfather in a far-off land.

Family Fortunes Christmas Special is available to watch on ITV Hub.
