The Channel 5 show documents Amanda and her farming family. She lives with her husband Clive and their nine children.

In a recent episode, the proud mum came across a tawny owl sitting on her eggs.

Amanda told her 3-year-old daughter Nancy: "Let's go and have a look and see how many eggs there are."

She narrated: "So there, that's the first time I've ever found an owl nest. She's got three beautiful eggs, so that is really exciting isn't it, Nancy?"

"So, you could have potentially three baby owls in here, how good is that?"

"You're going to have to get good with that mousetrap."

Earlier this week, Amanda has surprised her children with a new arrival at Ravenseat Farm.

In October viewers of the beloved Channel 5 series were left sobbing after the Owen family said goodbye to their much-loved pony, Little Joe.

As they all awaited the arrival, Amanda said: “I think they have sussed what the surprise is today, haven’t you?”

Clemmy excitedly shouted: “I know!” before Annie and Sidney joined her and shouted: “A horse!”

As the beautiful filly was unloaded from the van, Clemmy joked: “I don’t think Annie can get on it, it looks quite high!”

Picking up Clemmy so she could get a better look at the new member of the family, Amanda continued: “We’ve thought of a name, haven’t we, Hazel!”

Amanda asked: “What do you think, Clemmy? Is this a bit different to the last pony we bought?”

Amanda also had another surprise in store for the children when she told them: “Well, it also is in foal!”

As the children began to pet the new horse, Amanda told them: “What you need to do now is get to know her like you know our horses, don’t you?”
