However, the director of the show is not giving out many details about season two, or the future of the show in general.

In an interview with , movie director Rhys Thomas left fans in limbo by giving a vague response when asked about whether or not there will be a second season of Hawkeye.

In the interview, he stated: "I cannot speak to future plans in the tradition of secrecy.

"Again, the show coming out, you never know how it's going to be received and it has been amazing to see how warmly people have taken it and enjoyed it".

From the director's hesitancy about revealing any details, there is uncertainty surrounding the possibility of a second season of Hawkeye.

What is Hawkeye about?

Directed by Rhys Thomas, and developed by Jonathan Igla, the official synopsis of the Hawkeye state: "While in New York City post-Blip, Clint Barton must work together with the young archer Kate Bishop to confront enemies from his past as Ronin in order to get back to his family in time for Christmas.”

This television miniseries is based on Clint Barton, the iconic Marvel superhero Hawkeye of Avengers fame.

The cast of Hawkeye features some prominent faces such as Jeremy Renner, who plays the role of Clint Barton, and Hailee Steinfeld, who plays the role of Kate Bishop.

Hainlee Steinfiled plays the role of a privileged woman who is trained by Jeremy Renner to become a professional archer who can be an avenger in her own right.

Hawkeye premiered its first two episodes on Wednesday November 24, 2021 at 3am EST and 8am in the UK.

It is available to stream on Disney+.

New episodes dropped every Wednesday until December 22, 2021, making the series six episodes long.

Each episode is up to 50 minutes long.
