EastEnders to air shock return for Kellie Bright as Linda Carter makes Christmas comeback

EASTENDERS fans will get a treat this Christmas as Kellie Bright is set to make a special Christmas comeback.

The actress - who plays Linda Carter in the BBC soap - is currently on maternity leave after welcoming son Rudy in July.

But now soap bosses have drafted her back in for a brief festive comeback as Linda’s husband Mick gets snared by scheming Janine Butcher.

Linda was last seen in September fleeing Walford with her new daughter, Annie. 

Desperate to keep the truth about Annie’s real father, Max Branning, from being exposed Mick helped get his wife away from Walford. 

However, since then Mick has returned to The Vic alone with Linda opting to stay away.

Linda’s brief return - set to air between Christmas and New Year - will see her marriage set to go through the ultimate test – Janine Butcher. 

Viewers have watched in recent weeks as Janine has become obsessed with boss Mick.

Her crush will develop unhealthily as Janine begins to see missing Linda as an obstacle to her own happiness. 

Determined to find out what is really going on between Linda and Mick, Janine decides to track Linda down and in ultimate Janine fashion, she is determined to use it to her advantage.
