JLS star Oritse Williams reveals he’s engaged to singer Kazz Kumar after meeting online
JLS star Oritsé Williams has announced he is engaged to Kazz Kumar after meeting the fellow singer on social media.
The 35-year-old is smitten with stunning marketer and songstress Kazz, 37, who he started dating just before lockdown last year.
Oritsé said he popped the question in October while on tour with bandmates Marvin Humes, JB Gill and Aston Merrygold.
"The boys are over the moon for both of us," he said in an interview with Magazine.
Referring to Marvin, Aston, and JB's children, Oritsé added: "The JLS kids absolutely love her.
"I had to peel them off her to give her a kiss before I went on stage during the tour. They were like: 'No, she’s our Kazz!'"
The sweet pair also revealed they got engaged in Cardiff and Oritsé took Kazz to the Miskin Manor hotel for what she thought was a Valentine's-themed photoshoot.
He said: "I went all in. I commissioned photographers, videographers and made up a timesheet and moodboards. Harley-Davidson were in on it too and provided the bikes and jackets and lanyards."
Speaking about her love for her future hubby, Kazz added: "I knew from our very first date that I wanted to be with Oritsé for the rest of my life. He's so different from everyone else. He's the sweetest man and the kindest soul in the entire world."
Oritsé also dished on plans for their big day and said JLS will definitely perform.
He told Hello!: "With an Asian and an Afro-Caribbean family coming together, we're going to have good food, good music, good vibes and a great time – that's for sure.
"They're a big part of my family – and now Kazz's family. They've got to bring some entertainment to the table."
Kazz is his first romance since he was found not guilty of rape in 2019.
In an exclusive chat with The Sun last year, Oritsé referred to Kazz as his “queen” and revealed they met on social media and that it was Kazz who messaged him first.
He said: “We’ve kept our relationship real. It was important for me that there was no interference or distraction and we could experience something genuine.
“We met through social media. She messaged me first. She knew what she wanted and came right for it. She’s amazing.”
