Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo reveal they’re engaged as ex Made in Chelsea ladies’ man vows to spend his life with her
MADE In Chelsea stars Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo are engaged.
The former Made in Chelsea ladies' man, 33, popped the question to his girlfriend, saying: "I couldn’t think of anything better than spending the rest of my life with you."
Delighted Sophie, 28, told fans: "WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
The couple have been careful not to share photographs of Sophie's engagement ring.
But a friend shared a screenshot of Sophie sobbing on FaceTime - and the ring is spotted in the corner of the screen.
After joining the E4 show when he was 22, Jamie became infamous on Made In Chelsea for his bad behaviour, dating and dumping a string of girls.
But he turned his life around when he started dating Sophie in 2019.
Their ups and downs have been there for all to see on E4 show, but no test would have been bigger than Jamie’s turn on BBC show Strictly — renowned for its relationship ‘curse’.
He survived unscathed and even reached last year’s final with partner Karen Hauer.
Now he's revealed he's ready to commit to long-term girlfriend Sophie.
McVitie’s digestive biscuit heir Jamie shared video of the couple celebrating as Sophie wore a hat that said "Mrs Laing-To-Be" on the front.
His reality show pals flocked to send their congratulations after he announced the news on Instagram.
His close pal Proudlock said: "Love you bro!!! U did it!! Come onnnnnn…..YEAH BABY!!!"
Zara McDermott told Sophie: "I am so happy for you."
Tiffany Watson added: "So happy!!!!"
Previously speaking about his true love to The Sun, Jamie said: “Sophie’s better than me in every single way,” he gushes. “I’ve never been as calm as I am now. I was always either incredibly ecstatic or incredibly anxious.
“She makes me balanced. She’s a real hero and has stuck by my side through lockdown and various burnouts and I will be forever grateful.”
