Coronation Street’s Lucy Jo Hudson admits it’s ‘not easy’ when daughter Sienna goes away with dad Alan Halsall
FORMER Coronation Street star Lucy-Jo Hudson admitted "it never gets easier" when her daughter goes away her dad Alan Halsall.
Lucy-Jo pined for daughter Sienna, six, who had jetted off to Finland with her Corrie dad, Alan and his girlfriend Tisha Merry.
Sharing a selfie of her and Sienna rugged up in puffer jackets and smiling widely towards the camera, she urged her daughter to "hurry home".
Lucy-Jo captioned the post: "I cannot wait to get my girl home tonight 💗. It never gets any easier when she goes away, I miss her so much!!!
"But I know she will have had the best time…. Hurry home baby, miss you, especially your little brother 💙 #mygirl #loveher #growingup #memories #love #laughter #cuddles #kisses xxx"
This week Alan surprised his daughter with an amazing surprise trip to Lapland.
He has documented their festive break to the home of Santa Claus and his gaggle of mischievous elves.
Since they've landed, they have indulged in a spot of sledding and making snow angels in their custom ski suits.
Alan also gave fans a glimpse of the outside of the charming snow-covered wooden cabin they're staying in.
Before their holiday, Alan shared a heartwarming video of his daughter Sienna finding out she was jetting to Lapland.
In the clip, Sienna is sweetly left stunned as she read a letter from Father Christmas letting her know about her surprise break.
Captioning the video, Alan penned: "Her Reaction…. 😍♥️ I’m not crying, you’re crying !! 😢
"I cannot wait to see the magic in her eyes, lapland here we come ✈️🎅🏻".
Alan is best known for playing Tyrone in Corrie since 1998 when his character lived with the Duckworths.
Alan confirmed his romance with his former Corrie co-star Tisha in May 2019, following months of speculation that they were a couple.
Tisha appeared in Corrie from 2013-2017 as waitress Steph Britton and returned briefly again in 2018.
As for Lucy-Jo, she returned to playing Donna Marie Quinn on Hollyoaks in May but it came after a tough year as she and her partner Lewis Devine both battled Covid earlier this year.
The new parents were left bedridden by the virus, but it got so bad for Lewis he started coughing up blood.
Lewis also revealed he "had it for about two weeks and then I spent a week recovering from it".
She starred as Kathy Harris on the Cobbles from 2002 to 2005 and went on to marry Alan in 2009.
