WALK The Line fans have branded Dawn French "inappropriate" after she enjoyed an X-rated exchange with a contestant.
The comedian, 64, is a judge on the new ITV1 singing competition and turned up the heat while chatting to a musician called Youngr.
Dawn giggled and even blurted out that she wanted to "kiss" the musician as she critiqued his performance during Monday night's episode.
The Vicar Of Dibley star told Youngr: "I applied the hip and lip test to you, which is...did you make my hips move? Yes you did. When it comes to the lips..."
Dawn then looked at her fellow judges - Gary Barlow, Alesha Dixon and Craig David - and laughed as she told them: "Calm down, everyone. Calm down!"
The star continued: "Can you make me smile? Do I want to kiss you? Yes, I do."
'INAPPROPRIATE'
Youngr, who lives in a caravan and classes himself as a one-man band, began laughing.
Cranking things up a gear, he then cheekily asked Dawn: "Do you still have the vicar's outfit? We could make this a thing."
Fans were quick to comment on the racy exchange, with many sharing their thoughts on Twitter.
One wrote: "Dawn French is getting more inappropriate... #WalkTheLine."
Another complained: "So Dawn French said to someone young enough to be her son would I want to kiss you - YES. Now imagine that was a male judge her age saying that to a girl young enough to be their daughter #WalkTheLine."
Another echoed: "Kinda gross that #DawnFrench said she’d like to kiss that young male contestant on #WalkTheLine. Imagine if a MALE judge said that to a FEMALE contestant? There would be outrage, quite rightly so."
A fourth simply asked: "What the hell is Dawn French going on about?"
Youngr was the first contestant to open Monday night's episode of Simon Cowell's new singing show.
However fans were left scratching their heads after he barely sang during his performance, playing a range of instruments instead.
The hopeful did not make it through to the next round.
Walk The Line sees musical acts - whether they be soloists, duos or groups - go head-to-head in front of the judges and the nation.
But to win the prize money, talent alone isn’t enough.
The contestants will need nerves of steel as they determine whether to cash out or physically Walk The Line and risk it all to stay in the competition.
