Real Housewives Of Jersey reveals two new cast members – a football boss’s wife and a beauty clinic owner
TWO glam new faces have joined the Real Housewives of Jersey line-up after ITV commissioned it for a second series.
Karen Loderick-Peace, the wife of former West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace, and beauty clinic owner Sarha Courtnay bring plenty of glitz and to the island as the cameras return to the jewel of the English Channel.
They'll join fan favourites Ashley Cairney, Kate Taylor, Mia Ledbury, Margaret Thompson and Tessa Hartmann as the wives work hard and play even harder.
Mum-of-three Karen, 46, has lived in jersey for five years after relocating from London and dreams of starting her own fashion label.
Viewers can expect to meet an independent woman who knows what she wants.
Speaking ahead of the series launch, she said: "I’m all for female empowerment and the Housewives brand is all about strong women standing their ground and proving their worth in business."
Karen is all about balance and viewers will see her juggle busy family life and hectic work commitments with some well-deserved me time.
She said of her lifestyle: "Sometimes very hectic and then sometimes very chilled. Jolan my youngest keeps me busy running her around to her various clubs etc. I’m passionate about my work and I love to keep fit."
Beauty boss Sarha, 36, wants to launch a business empire with partner Mike eight months after moving to Jersey.
The pair only got together in August 2020, two years after Sarha divorced her husband, and they moved quickly to find a home on the island.
Teasing series drama ahead, Sarha said she was caught in the crossfire of her warring pals Ashley and Mia.
She said: "It was really difficult being in the middle of the Ashley and Mia saga as there’s nothing worse than being stuck in the middle of two of your friends! Who knows what the future holds, but I’m keeping everything crossed that things will be okay between them moving forward."
And she's certainly not one to be messed with herself: "I’m driven, determined and incredibly loyal. I am fiercely protective over my family and friends, you
can come at me all you want, but come at them and you’ll see a different side to me!"
There are also plenty of laughs along the way too.
Recalling her series highlights, she said: "Probably the night Kate, Ashley, Margaret and I filmed at M’s house towards the end of the series.
"The four of us had become so close, we literally laughed from the moment we got there to well after the cameras were put down. It was so lovely to know we would be filming for the day with no drama or tension!
"Mike and I also had a day date to The Minquiers which was breathtaking. It is a collection of white sand dunes about 15km south of the island - it was a really special moment for both us and the crew. We even had dolphins flanking the boat on the way there!"
The new ten-part series of The Real Housewives of Jersey starts on Monday 27th December at 9pm on ITVBe with the entire series available to binge watch as a Box Set on the same day from 7am.
