Emmerdale horror as Liv Flaherty overdoses in prison after being abandoned by her family

EMMERDALE fans are fearing for Liv Flaherty’s life after she overdosed in prison.

The alcoholic - who is played by actress Isabel Steele in the ITV soap - is in prison after being charged with the murder of Ben Tucker.

Viewers know Meena Jutla is responsible but in the village everyone thinks Liv killed him in a drunken rage.

Last night Liv was convinced to stop Vinny Dingle from being her only support.

And not coping she begged her cellmate to help her by getting her some booze to cope.

However it wasn’t standard vodka - it was home brewed hooch that was much stronger and left Liv in dire straits.

Her cellmate told her: “That strips your throat worse than engine cleaner this stuff. 

“Even after 20 years it packs a dangerous punch. I told you I’d come through for you, didn’t I? 

“Just make sure you’re taking the tiniest of sips. It’s brewed for maximum buzz and minimum sippage. 

“You’re not sulking are you because it’s home brewed? Because vodka is child’s play in comparison to this stuff.”

As she climbed down the bunk she saw Liv was unconscious

“Oh no, don’t tell me you’ve drunk the whole lot,” she screamed. “Come on Liv, snap out of it.”

She ran to the door and screamed for help: “Help me warders - she’s dying in here!”

Liv was vomiting up the illicit booze - but looked in a bad way.

And fans are distraught for her and think she will die.

One wrote: "Poor Liv hope she is okay."

A second said: ";Liv what have you done."

Another added: "Oh no Liv what have you done. This is your fault Chas and Mandy are you happy now."
