Where is Worzel Gummidge set?

Worzel Gummidge is set in the fictional country town of Scatterbrook.

The rural village is the focal point for the BBC One show.

In this quaint town you will find Scatterbrook Farm and also Ten Arce Field where Worzel resides.

Fans were first introduced to Scatterbrook in the original series back in 1979.

Where is Worzel Gummidge filmed?

Bedfordshire

All the Scatterbrook scenes are filmed at Valence End Farm.

This location is actually a working farm just outside Dunstable in Bedfordshire.

The farm is situated next to Whipsnade Zoo which you can go and visit.

Hertfordshire

The Ten Acre Field that Worzel calls home was filmed in countryside close to Berry Bushes Farm in King’s Langley, Hertfordshire.

This location is just 10 minutes away from Warner Bros studios at Leavesden, home of The Making Of Harry Potter tour.

Many of the other countryside exteriors were also filmed around King’s Langley.

Worzel’s love interest Earthy Mangold's vegetable patch was filmed at Highfield Park in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Luton

The Tree of Tree scenes are actually filmed in a car park in Luton.

The tree is an ancient, magical tree that Worzel uses to send a message to the scarecrows of Albion.

Fans will find it difficult to believe these scenes are just filmed in a parking lot.

What will happen on Worzel Gummidge?

The Christmas special 2021 saw a thunderstorm that brought about a flock of rare choughs to Scatterbrook Farm.

Eager to scare such a rarely sighted bird, Worzel enlists the help of Susan and John.

Their plans are soon ruined as word of the choughs gets out and a group of keen birdwatchers move in.

With the twitchers refusing to leave, the children try to come up with a plan to help Worzel scare the choughs.

How can I watch Worzel Gummidge?
