Only Fools and Horses’ Raquel actress Tessa Peake-Jones looks unrecognisable 30 years on

ONLY Fools and Horses star Tessa Peake-Jones first appeared in the iconic sitcom 33 years ago.

As Channel 5 airs Only Fools and Horses: Secrets and Scandals tonight at 9pm, here's what the actress has been up to.

Raquel deserved a medal for putting up with Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter for all those years.

Actress Tessa played the iconic role in the sitcom from 1988 and is one of the most recognisable faces in British comedy history.

Despite life's many challenges, Raquel and Del Boy lived happily at their Peckham flat with their son Damien until the show ended in 2003.

The now 64-year-old is famed for her portrayal of straight-talking Raquel, but what else has she been up to since the final episode?

During her time on Only Fools and Horses, Tessa also appeared in a long list of other television shows, as well as movies, including Up the Garden Path, So Haunt Me, The Demon Headmaster and Waking the Dead.

After Only Fools' final episode aired, the only way was up for Tessa as she continues to carve out a very successful acting career.

To date, she has played major parts in some of the UK's most popular dramas such as ITV's Unforgotten, Midsomer Murders, Marchlands, Doctor Who and Holby City.

Much like Tessa, another actor in Patrick Murray - who portrayed Mickey Pearce - also looks completely unrecognisable.

As one of the show's most underrated characters came in the shape and size of Mickey - essentially a 'frenemy' of Rodney - often running off with his girlfriends or swindling him out of money.

During a 2018 appearance of Loose Women, Murray revealed he'd gone to Thailand for 10 years where he had met his wife.

However, Murray later faced the heartache of being separated from his Thai wife and their daughter Josie following a visa row.

It was revealed the Home Office had denied a visa to his wife and daughter on the grounds he didn’t earn enough money to support them.
