ONLY Fools and Horses still leaves us all in stitches despite coming to a close almost 20 years ago - and its beloved characters are testament to just that.
One of the show's most underrated characters came in the shape and size of Mickey Pearce - essentially a 'frenemy' of Rodney - often running off with his girlfriends or swindling him out of money.
The arrogant youngster was the original Jay from The Inbetweeners due to making exaggerated boasts about his business success and prowess with the ladies.
Played by Patrick Murray, Mickey appeared in 20 episodes of the comedy show in total.
Away from the BBC hit, Patrick landed parts in big-screen movies including Curse of the Pink Panther and The Firm then retired from acting.
He went on to become a cabbie working in Kent, was a builder at one point and even a professional poker player.
During a 2018 appearance of Loose Women, Murray revealed he'd gone to Thailand for 10 years where he had met his wife.
However, Murray later faced the heartache of being separated from his Thai wife and their daughter Josie following a visa row.
