Inside Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman’s eclectic home with husband Kris where mirrors are BANNED
STRICTLY'S Claudia Winkleman has given fans a glimpse into the stylish home she shares with husband Kris Thykier and their kids.
The 50-year-old - who co-hosts Strictly Come Dancing with Tess Daly - also lives in their London property with children Jake, 17, Matilda, 14, and nine-year-old Arthur.
Claudia - who revealed Strictly's celebrity and pro dancer pairings ahead of the first show - often shares pictures and videos taken at home - and one of her favourite filming backdrops is her huge white bookcase.
Other rooms fans have been given a look at include Claudia's gorgeous living area, with a comfortable-looking pink chair in front of a huge sash window.
The star also shared a snap of Kris cooking up a storm in their kitchen, and a glimpse into her bathroom with a freestanding tub big enough for Claudia and her make-up artist, Sali Hughes.
But one thing you won't find in Claudia's trendy home are mirrors, as the BBC Radio 2 host has banned them - and the reason stems back to her childhood with mum Eve Pollard.

She said: "I was brought up by the strongest and most brilliant woman I’ve ever come across - my mum.
"She was strong and fantastic and taught me everything I needed to know in being female.
"We weren’t allowed any mirrors in the house, which would explain how I do my makeup... and the fact I look like I’ve slept in a skip."
Claudia rarely talks about her personal life but she did recently open up about homeschooling during lockdown - confessing she wasn't very good at it.

She said: "I was chronic at homeschooling – I was very bad. Six minutes into lessons I would be shouting at the children. I always thought I was patient but I was terrible."

Discussing the process of writing her book Quite at the same time, Claudia added: "So I went upstairs and thought I would write something important. Instead, I wrote about melted cheese, why I wear black and how a fringe has given me a career!
"I sent it to my publisher with a note that said in capitals, ‘DO NOT PUBLISH BUT THANK YOU ANYWAY’ But they did it and no one is more surprised than me!"
