Where I Love New York’s Tiffany Pollard is now – from Flavor Flav’s ex to breakout reality TV star to nail line owner
FROM Tiffany "New York" Pollard's days vying for a clock from rapper Flavor Flav's neck to shaping the future of reality dating shows, this legend has gone from meme queen to nail fein in the past two decades.
Tiffany's iconic show meltdowns have influenced reality television culture and nearly two decades after her on-screen debut, she is venturing into the cosmetics field with a nail polish line.
If the nickname New York given to her by Flavor as an homage to her home state doesn't ring a bell from her debut on Flavor of Love, fans know her from the self-titled I Love New York, where men competed for her heart.
Her expressions on VH1's dating show were even turned into popular memes.
Tiffany exclusively revealed in an interview with The Sun that she is morphing into "an adult version of a Head B***h in Charge" with a nail polish line called .
Tiffany said: "I'm not 23 anymore, and I'll be 40 in January, so I think it's very important for me to expand not only on what I want to do in my career, but also my overall outlook.
"How I present myself and what I'm getting into. I have to be a little more accountable for certain things, and it feels really, really good."
The reality star continued: "That's how I steer my boat now, and to be doing beauty and have the HBIC Ink. line come out? Wow, this is such a new chapter. I'm having such a great time."

NEW YORK NOSTALGIA
Tiffany has come a long way since her discovery on Flavor of Love, where the fierce contestant made it to the final two in Season One only to be rejected as Flavor chose Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander as his love.
However, Flavor and Nicole's love was short-lived, as Tiffany was invited back for Season Two of Flavor of Love to help with eliminations.
New York made it once again to the final round only to be shockingly rejected yet again.
However, her popularity and contagious personality left fans begging for more.
Producers heard the demand and delivered, giving Tiffany her own reality dating show called I Love New York.
Tiffany appeared on more reality television shows from Celebrity Big Brother to yet another dating show, One Mo' Chance, with Kamal Givens, AKA Chance.
Chance appeared on Tiffany's I Love New York back in 2007.
She wished him the best as he's in the middle of his second season, telling The Sun: "It's really going well for him.
"I wish him well, and I hope that he finds love soon because I know he's looking."
TIFFANY'S DIAMOND
The biggest transformation in Tiffany's life was going from the queen of dating shows to getting engaged.
On October 1st, 2020, Tiffany shared that she said yes to the man of her dreams.
However, over a year after the proposal, the lucky man's identity still remains under lock and key.
Tiffany teased that her mystery man is "no one that anyone is familiar with in my history on reality television," but makes her "so happy."
Tiffany also confided that the engaged couple wouldn't be together for Thanksgiving since she is tying up loose ends in Los Angeles, as she plans to join her secret man in New York full-time.
However, Tiffany revealed a cute romantic moment the couple often shares on their in-person date nights.
'I CAN'T WAIT'
Tiffany gushed: "Because he's so much taller than me, I dance on his feet and I will just float as he walks me around. We do little silly stuff like that."
The HBIC exclusively revealed to The Sun that what she looks forward to the most at their wedding is saying the nuptials.
She said: "I can't wait to see him and look across from him. I feel like eloping and then coming back and having a huge wedding later, I don't want to keep waiting.
"It has been a long time coming. You know, I have kissed a lot of frogs."
FATHER FLAVOR FLAV
One of her "frogs," rapper Flavor, was recently spotted on Instagram partying with Kim Kardashian, her new man Pete Davidson, and her mom Kris Jenner while all wearing matching SKIMS pajamas to celebrate the comedian's 28th birthday.
Flavor, 62, shared a snap of the group and wrote: "Celebrating my adopted son Pete Davidson's birthday with the legendz @kimkardashian and @krisjenner."
He added: "Pete... I never took a clock off my neck to give to someone and you will be the last person I do this for... it lookz real good on you... happy birthday..."
The bash apparently took place at Kris' vacation home in Palm Springs.
Flavor also shared a second snap of him standing next to Pete who is smiling wearing the clock pendant necklace.
According to fans, Flavor's birthday snaps are the biggest sign that Kim, 41, and Pete are a couple, since they met during Kim's episode hosting Saturday Night Live in October.
When The Sun asked Tiffany what her reaction to the photo of her ex heart-throb was, she said: "It would be so cool to have an invitation at that table. I think I read somewhere that [Flavor] is [Pete's] adopted father now. If that's true, I think that is so cute."
She remarked she left a comment on the photo with a star-eyed emoji.
WHAT'S NEXT, NEW YORK?
As New York departs the reality dating television scene after she found love, the HBIC has her eyes set on new projects in mind.
First airing as part of VH1's YouTube series back in 2017, Brunch with Tiffany features celebrities sitting down with her over a bottle of bubbly to discuss topics such as mental health, sexuality, and the LGBTQ+ community.
After filming in 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona, Tiffany co-hosted the show "Hot Haus," yet to broadcast and stream on OUTtv.
She commented: "They were searching for the next best queer sex icon, and when I say the contestants put their heart on the stage, they really did perform.
"Wow, it was just so hard to pick a winner."
As for Brunch with Tiffany, the star doesn't plan on coming back from the pandemic to halt plans of a potential Season Four.
In a dream brunch scenario, Tiffany shared her guests would be Meghan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Doja Cat and the topic on the table would be Men 101: "Like we will all share tips and tricks about keeping your man interested and what to do with your man."
Another fact that many fans don't know about is that Tiffany's dream job is to be a spiritual Christian televangelist.
Although after growing up Christian, Tiffany said the "new HBIC" has also changed her perspective on religion.
She said: "I'm all about fellowship and relation, instead of rules and regulations that none of us can live up to.
"It's so hard because everybody still wants you to be the HBIC, but at the same time, I feel I can use my platforms to speak on my personal life and how I feel spiritually."
NAILS OUT!
The most recent venture Tiffany has taken was into the world of beauty and fashion by releasing her exclusive HBIC nail set with Orca.
Tiffany remarked: "The response has been great and I'm so glad that we did the nail lacquers because the nails are so important and everybody else is doing makeup right now so I feel like I'm doing something a bit different."
She leaned towards doing something with nails, as she is always "expressing herself" by moving her hands around, and commented: "We are all constantly staring at our nail beds if we realize it or not."
She gushed that the colors Zero Caution (red), Currency (green), Balsa Blue, and GoGo Juice (yellow) are all "take charge colors" and were inspired by "all the confrontation with the women" from her time on Flavor of Love.
Tiffany claimed the nail colors were "born out of Season One of Flavor," which taught her to "stand her ground and fight."
The vegan, cruelty free, and made in the US box set of four colors are limited to the first 300 orders, and each box is personally numbered with a special note inside from New York herself.
After remarking she is "so grateful" for her fans' continued support and the success of her first beauty endeavor, Tiffany teased: "I would love to eventually expand into some blushes or liquid liners."
