I feared I was miscarrying after a haemorrhage left me bleeding for a week says Dancing On Ice’s Brianne Delcourt
BRIANNE Delcourt has revealed that a haemorrhage left her fearing she was having a miscarriage.
The Dancing on Ice star, 44, revealed she and Kevin Kilbane are expecting their second child together - but their baby joy was overshadowed by the terrifying scare as she discovered she had a haemorrhage next to her placenta.
She said: "I was a month along when I found out and I went for my second ultrasound quite early.
"We found out I had a haemorrhage and it was right by the placenta. I was bleeding for a week so I went to see a doctor. Automatically we thought something was wrong or I was miscarrying."
Brianne added to new! magazine: "It was an extremely worrying time."
Despite being assured by doctors that it was normal, understandably Brianne was still worried.
She added: "I went for a follow up and mine had gotten bigger and I was in a lot of pain. They put me on bed rest but that only lasted a day as it’s pretty hard to do nothing when you’ve got two kids. It was way before 12 weeks so it was really scary.
"I then went back a few weeks later and thankfully the haemorrhage had cleared up. They said it could have been a slight injury from when I didn’t know I was pregnant as I was doing things like water skiing. I constantly bled every single day for three weeks.”

Former professional footballer Kevin, 44, added: "Once we were told the haemorrhage had shrunk everything became more relaxing. What’s important now is just to get Bri through the next 20 weeks of the pregnancy."
Brianne and Kevin met during the 2019 series of Dancing on Ice in December and confirmed their relationship at Christmas.
Already mum to Gracie, four, Brianne gave birth to her first child with Kevin - daughter Olivia Mai - in February.
Kevin has two daughters, Elsie and Isla, from his marriage to ex-wife Laura, who he split from in 2011.
