CORONATION Street star Ellie Leach looked worlds apart from her on-screen character in a glam snap shared to Instagram.

The 20-year-old actress dazzled in pink as she celebrated a pal's 21st birthday at the weekend.

In the photo, Ellie has ditched her troubled Weatherfield alter ego's comfortable style for something much too chic for the cobbles.

Perched on the edge of a grey sofa, the beauty is showing off her enviable legs in the tiny satin dress.

With long sleeves and a plunging neckline, the hot pink outfit perfectly compliments her enviable tan, with Ellie accessorising with a pair of strappy heels.

Her brunette hair is styled into sleek waves tumbling over one shoulder, with Ellie also showing off a stunning make-up transformation as she smiles for the camera.

Fans were blown away by her makeover, with one social media follower commenting: "Wow, you look amazing, Ellie!"

Another quipped: "You put the hot in hot pink".

Ellie joined Coronation Street back in 2011 as the adoptive daughter of Anna and Eddie Windass.

She has been at the centre of many dramatic storylines over the years, including her falling pregnant at the age of 12 and keeping it a secret from her family.

And poor Faye has even more drama ahead, with spoilers for upcoming episodes of the ITV soap showing her and Emma Brooker left heartbroken when they accidentally hit a frail pensioner with their car.

The horror accident comes almost immediately after Faye was released from prison for attacking evil Adam.

Alluding to the car accident, a Corrie boss previously teased: "Secrets and lies seem to follow Steve’s other daughter Emma around but, when she and Faye make a terrible mistake, this time it is Emma who agrees to keep tight-lipped about what they have done."
