DERMOT O'Leary had a savage comeback for his This Morning co-host when she branded him "Britain's dullest man".
Alison, 46, made the joke during today's edition of the ITV show as they were introducing the first guest of the programme.
After teasing Alison's exclusive interview with House of Gucci star Lady Gaga, Dermot said: "Talking of big exclusives we’ve got one – a game-changer in the world of event planning, you think Gaga is impressive! Today we are talking to one of Britain’s, no Britain’s self-confessed dullest man…"
Immediately Alison quipped: "Is it you? I'm only joking, I'm only joking."
But Dermot had the last laugh, replying: "I sort of see a window into why you’re single sometimes."
Alison has always been open about being unlucky-in-love. She shares son Aiden, 16, with ex-husband Noureddine Boufaied and last year thought she'd found the one after meeting Ben Kusi on Celebs Go Dating, but it wasn't meant to be.
Speaking to The Sun in a recent interview, Alison said: "We’re not supposed to be on our own, but at the moment I am enjoying not being with anyone. I’m going to be a spinster and die on my own and you aren’t going to find me for three weeks.
“Look, if it happens, it happens, but I’m not going to stress."

Alison and Dermot's jokes came on the day the man they replaced, Eamonn Holmes, quit his role on This Morning after 15 years.
In January Eamonn, 61, and his wife Ruth Langsford were dropped from their regular Friday slot on This Morning, replaced with Dermot and Alison and demoted to covering Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby during school holidays.
