The drama sees a veteran cop and a teenage girl fall to their deaths from a tower block - with only two witnesses, a five year old boy and a rookie police officer, Lizzie Adama.

In tonight's concluding episode, viewers discovered that PC Hadley Matthews had tried to save teenager Farrah, but both accidentally fell to their deaths.

Viewers also learnt that Hadley had taken Farrah's phone by force, with boss DI Kieran Shaw later covering his tracks by hiding the phone which had the recording of Hadley's racist remarks.

Detective Sergeant Sarah Collins took the lead for the investigation and was on a mission to find Lizzie and the truth about the deaths.

In the final instalment, Lizzie met with DI Shaw in secret, who tried to persuade her not to implicate herself.

He showed Lizzie the phone and played the recording of Hadley saying racist remarks to the young girl.

Shaw warned Lizzie that if she comes clean to the police then she will go to prison and her career would be over, making it clear that she won't drag him down with her.

As he arrived home, Shaw spotted a police car outside his house and quickly hid the phone in a coffee cup - later telling his wife to destroy the evidence.

Collins continued to quiz Shaw on his feelings for Lizzie after learning that the pair were having an affair.

Later at the post-mortem, Collins discovered that Hadley had Farrah's skin under his nails and the young girl had bruising and gauge marks around her wrists.

Meanwhile, DC Steve Bradshaw saved Lizzie's life as she attempted to jump from the same tower block.

In a surprising twist, Steve urged Lizzie to lie when she is questioned at the station.

Lizzie continued to deny any knowledge of a phone, but finally came clean and told Collins that Hadley tried to save Farrah’s life but both tragically fell.

Later on, Steve warned Lizzie to learn from her mistake but Collins grew suspicious of the pair and confronted Steve who told her that Lizzie does not deserve to go to prison.

FALLING AGAIN

Although Collins failed to get justice for Farrah, in a shock development viewers discovered that Shaw's wife is still in possession of the phone and had not destroyed it.

At Hadley's funeral, Lizzie promised Collins that she is a good cop and will prove her wrong.

Some viewers were thrilled with the shock twist and fans are desperate to know if there will be a second series.
