I’m A Celeb’s Snoochie Shy has very famous “husband” – and is mates with a surprising celeb
SNOOCHIE Shy will soon be battling it out to become queen of the I’m a Celebrity castle, and she’s already left her showbiz life behind as she quarantines ahead of the show.
The Radio 1Xtra DJ, 29, joined an all-star line-up for this year’s series, including Frankie Bridge and Naughty Boy, but hanging out with famous people is nothing new to Snoochie.
As well as all of the A-listers she rubs shoulders with through work, Snoochie “tied the knot” with rapper Big Shaq – real name Michael Dapaah – in 2018, when she played his bride in the music video for his track Mans Don’t Dance.
Sharing a clip from their “big day” on Instagram at the time, Snoochie, real name Cheyenne Davide, wrote: “SECURED DA SHAQ. FINALLY GOT MARRIED INIT.
“I never expected it but we here now man. Hold tight marriage gang. We have arrived.”
It’s a joke she’s carried on ever since, and Snoochie even said they’re heading for divorce due to conflicting lifestyles.
Appearing on the JD Official YouTube channel with Specs Gonzalez, when asked if they were still together, a smiling Snoochie replied: “I don’t know, man. I feel like we might be on the brink of divorce quite soon. There’s just a lot happening right now.
“He’s busy. He’s busy getting, like, private jets and stuff. Meanwhile, I’m on the bus.”
Her marriage may be fake but Snoochie’s friendship with Jeremy Vine is very real and earlier this year they appeared together on Celebrity Gogglebox.
Some viewers were left confused by the seemingly unlikely friendship, with one fan writing on Twitter: “How the heck are @SnoochieShy and @JeremyVineon5 mates please?”
Even though it’s unclear how their relationship came about, Jeremy later opened up about his time on the show, saying: “I am friends with Snoochie Shy and I got to spend time with her which is great.”
