Frankie Bridge

Frankie is set to follow in the footsteps of husband Wayne on the show.

The singer-turned-TV star, a regular on Loose Women, is taking part after ITV chiefs are said to have offered her a bumper deal.

Former Chelsea footballer Wayne, 41, finished fifth in 2016, but was ticked off by Frankie, 32, for talking about their sex life.

Now he will be the one watching from home with their sons Parker, eight, and Carter, six, as Frankie sits around the campfire.

Richard Madeley

TV star Richard, 65, is said to have agreed a contract worth an estimated £200,000.

He teased viewers in a recorded video, which was broadcast on Tuesday (16 November), by saying he'd “welcome any trial just for something to do” as he is so bored in quarantine.

“I’ve been in quarantine for about 10 days now and, if any of you have been in quarantine, my god, it’s boring,” he said. “I mean, I’d welcome any trial just for something to do.”

Richard, who is married to fellow TV host Judy Finnigan, 73, is known to be a “huge fan” of the ITV show.

The dad of two is no stranger to I’m A Celeb. He flew to Oz in 2019 to support contestant and former rugby star James Haskell, 36, who is married to Richard’s daughter, Chloe, 34.

That year, he also appeared on I’m A Celeb’s ITV2 spin-off Extra Camp.

He proved braver than boxer Amir Khan, 34, in a “Critter-cal Rescue” trial in a giant termites nest. He collected every key while Amir screamed when he grabbed a live snake.

It’s also been a big year for Richard who has also just taken on a permanent role presenting Good Morning Britain alongside Susanna Reid.

Arlene Phillips

Arlene, 78, is set to be the show’s oldest contestant yet – beating Harry Redknapp who took part at 77.

Choreographer Arlene is currently very in demand and is set to join the Dancing On Ice panel after John Barrowman was axed.

It will be her first big TV job since the BBC sacked her from Strictly in 2009.

But before all that Arlene will be put to the test in the castle.

She remains unfazed by being the show’s oldest ever contestant, saying: “I am always the oldest and so I am used to it.”

The food on the show is the least of her worries, but she is mainly concerned with the trails as she does not like spiders and any other animals she will likely encounter at Gwrych Castle.

Matty Lee

Diving fans were delighted to hear that bosses have signed up Tom Daley’s Olympic diving partner Matty Lee.

The Olympian shot to fame overnight after winning gold with Tom, 27, in the synchronised dive at the Tokyo games this summer.

The 23-year-old is said to be “excited” about the challenges and will “thrive under pressure”.

Speaking about joining the show, Matty said: “My two childhood dreams were to win an Olympic medal and take part in my favourite TV series. And now I am doing both this year!”

“I am really looking forward to the Trials and also, to be around different people will be fun too. I am used to just being around athletes.

“I think I will definitely freak out at rats and I know I will scream. Heights won’t be an issue though! I am obviously used to diving off 10-metre boards.”

Naughty Boy

Music producer Naughty Boy – real name Shahid Khan – was set to enter the castle last year but had to pull out at the last minute, and was hastily replaced by eventual runner-up Jordan North.

He’s now putting on his camping boots and is ready to swap mixing with music A-listers for some other household names.

The star has collaborated with Beyonce, Sam Smith and Emeli Sande, so should have some amazing stories to share around the camp fire.

Speaking about joining the show, he said: “I want people to know the real me. I am not a celebrity at all. My music is the celebrity and now is the chance for me to show people what I am really like.”

He added: “I don’t know what people in the music industry will think about me being in the Castle but having a break from everything is something I think everyone should have and do once a year.

“I love my friends and family, but I think it is good to have a break and time out.”

Snoochie Shy

Radio 1 Extra host Snoochie Shy is heading into the castle – to bring a spot of glamour.

The 29-year-old from Eltham, South-East London is a model, brand ambassador, presenter as well as a DJ.

Snoochie - real name Cheyenne Davide - is married to rapper Michael Dapaah, better known by his stage name Big Shaq, and has been a member of the Radio 1 team for three years.

Sharing her concerns over joining the series, she said: “My mum keeps laughing, as she knows I am such a scaredy cat!

“Bugs and I are not friends, I don’t like heights and I am claustrophobic.”

She also opened up about how she is nervous about not wearing makeup on the show as it will reveal a birthmark on her cheek.

“It has been an insecurity of mine in the past but I am also excited to face up to it,” she said.

Danny Miller

Emmerdale star Danny has long been linked to appearing on the show and he’s finally set to give it ago.

The actor, who is best known for playing Aaron Dingle, will be leaving behind his fiancé Steph Jones and their first child, who was born in October.

The 30-year-old first appeared in the soap in 2008 before leaving in 2012.

He later reprised his role in 2014, but is set to take a break to head to Wales for a few weeks.

Speaking about taking the opportunity to appear on I'm a Celeb, Danny was initially hesitant due to having a newborn.

“I knew my baby would only be about a month old when I went into the Castle. I was worried about leaving the baby with Steph [Jones] on her own but she is a midwife and I know our baby will be in perfect hands,” he said.

Miller continued to explained how he was most scared of the eating trials, stating: “I can’t even brush my teeth without being sick and I am dreading it if my gagging reflexes start, but that said, it won’t stop my doing the trials.”

David Ginola

Footy legend David Ginola is following in a long line of retired Premier League stars taking part in the show.

The 54-year-old from France most notably played for Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Premier League clubs NewcastleTottenham and then Aston Villa.

In May 2016 while playing a charity football match David collapsed due to a cardiac arrest and subsequently fell into a coma.

He swallowed his tongue and stopped breathing, leaving him clinically dead until paramedics arrived with a defibrillator.

Surgeons performed a six-hour quadruple bypass to save his life.

Speaking about his decision to go on the series, he said: “It is starting to sink in now that I am doing I’m A Celebrity. When I got offered the chance to do the programme, I thought, ‘why not?’ It’s going to be a great experience and it’s the chance to spend three weeks in the Castle doing things you have never done in your life.”

David said he's not worried to be locked up in the Castle for three weeks, as we have "been in lockdown many times over the past two years".

Kadeena Cox

Kadeena Cox, 30, has competed as both a Paralympian and an able-bodied athlete bringing home a cluster of medals from the Rio games.

The Leeds born cyclist and track and field athlete also triumphed recently on Celebrity Masterchef, finishing in first place ahead of Megan McKenna and Joe Swash.

Kadeena has also appeared on Channel 4’s The Jump in 2017, Celebrity Great British Bake Off in 2018 and earlier this year she was on Celebrity Gogglebox with fellow sprinter Adam Gemili.

She started competing as an able bodied athlete but in 2014 appeared to have the symptoms of a stroke and after extensive tests she was diagnosed as having multiple sclerosis.

Speaking before the start of the series, she said: “Going on I’m a Celebrity is something so different for me and it’s completely out of my comfort zone.

“As a Paralympian, you are always trying to get that one per cent extra all the time and defending my title earlier this year in Tokyo was the hardest thing I have ever had to do but I think going into the Castle is going to be far harder mentally.”

Louise Minchin

Louise, 53, left her job presenting BBC Breakfast in September 2021 after a glittering 20-year career.

Not long after The Sun revealed she had been approached to take part in I’m A Celebrity.

She will be going head to her with her old co-star Dan Walker, who is on Strictly Come Dancing this year.

Speaking on joining the show, Louise said: “I have spent the last 20 years immersed in news every single day. For me to not know what is going on in the news is going to be extraordinary.

“Not having access to the phone and not constantly scrolling, looking at everything is a difficult thing to let go of but I am also actually looking forward to it.”

Simon Gregson

Soap legend Simon will face his EastEnders counterpart Adam Woodyatt in the castle.

Simon is believed to be a late arrival to the show, as no official picture has been released of him yet.

The actor, who has played the Street’s hapless Steve McDonald for 32 years, is the latest Corrie star to land a place on the show.

A source said: “Bosses know Corrie fans will get right behind him.

“Everyone knows Simon as Steve but now they’ll get to see a completely different side of him for the first time.

“Simon has previously shunned all reality shows and he has turned down I’m A Celeb a number of times before.

“But now his children are older, Simon started to think the timing was right.

“And after the show was moved from Australia to Wales it made it easier for him to commit.”

Fans have begun to speculate how Simon will be entering the villa this year as he doesn't have an official photo yet.

Last year it was up to classical singer Russell Watson and musical star Ruthie Henshall to make a surprise entrance.

The pair had to take on a trial called Stage Fright, a nod to their careers, in front of the other contestants in order to win stars.

"So Simon Gregson and Adam Woodyatt must be 11th and 12th," wrote one viewer. "That means we are going to have a soap themed challenge for when they enter."

"Does this mean, Simon Gregson and Adam Woodyatt come in 4 days later?" another wrote.

Adam, 53 — known to millions as Ian Beale — agreed to take part after bosses offered him a bumper pay deal.

Like Simon, Adam is believed to be a late arrival to the show.

I'm A Celebrity is no stranger to late arrivals, Vicky Pattison won her series after going in late and fans have speculated that producers are doing the same with Adam and Simon.

One fan reacted: "They'll probably bring Adam and Simon Gregson in at the end of the first week like they did last year."

Adam is the BBC soap’s longest-serving cast member — is currently on a break from Albert Square.

Adam made his debut in Albert Square as teenager Ian in February 1985 and has appeared in more than 3,000 episodes.

But in August last year it emerged he was to be written out of upcoming scenes as part of an “extended break” for the character.

DJ Locksmith

Rudimental's Locksmith has also gone into isolation and will be a stand by celebrity should one of the other stars drop out prematurely.

This isn't unusual as last year a reserve celebrity had to enter the castle when Naughty Boy was forced to pull out of the 2020 show before the launch day.

DJ Locksmith previously impressed on Celebrity SAS, so surviving the castle should be a piece of cake for him.

The 34-year-old, real name Leon Rolle, is best known for being a member of UK dance four-piece Rudimental which originated from Hackney.

DJ Locksmith had branded him the weakest in the group and the pair had to be pulled apart by the instructors.
