SAS: Who Dares Wins bosses sign up first ever sibling duo – AJ and Curtis Pritchard
ONE squeezed his body into “barely there” sequined outfits for a living and the other fought off predatory women on Love Island.
But the toughest challenge is just around the corner for the Pritchard brothers.
I can reveal former Strictly Come Dancing pro AJ and his telly presenter brother Curtis are the latest celebrities to sign up for the next season of Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins.
They will be the first sibling duo to take part in the same run of the show.
A refreshed directing staff, following the departure of chief instructor Ant Middleton will put them through their paces. Joining the cast are former US Marine Rudy Reyes and ex-Navy Seal Remi Adeleke.
I’m told AJ and Curtis have already flown out to Jordan, where the brutal show is now being made after switching from western Scotland’s Isle of Raasay.
A Channel 4 source said: “Most viewers might look at AJ and Curtis and think they’ve had it quite easy in their own respective worlds of reality telly and Strictly.
“But they’re grafters. AJ didn’t really have a chance to get that across when he did I’m A Celebrity last year.
“They both jumped at the chance to do SAS when the offer came up.
“They want to show they are more than just two good-looking lads and can get properly stuck in.”
The Sun told last week how EastEnders’ Maisie Smith was already on board, with producers giving her a first major TV gig since quitting the BBC1 soap.
I am told that Towie bad-boy Pete Wicks has also agreed to take part in the show, as have telly personality Calum Best and Paralympic athlete Jonathan Broom-Edwards.
Also in Jordan for the series is Ex On The Beach star and former Coventry City footballer Ashley Cain
Earlier this year Ashley tragically lost his daughter Azaylia, who died at the age of just eight months due to a rare form of leukaemia.
A frank word for the Queen
THE Queen might be used to people bowing in front of her but she always enjoys the banter with jockeys from the race yard.
Clare Balding said she often used to bump into Her Majesty at the stables where her niece Flora rides.
On the Travel Diaries podcast she said: “Frankie Dettori tells a really funny story about when he was riding for her at Royal Ascot. The second time he said, ‘Wotcher!’ And then said, ‘Oh sorry Your Majesty. And she said, ‘Don’t worry’.”
SJP keeps calm and Carries on
SARAH Jessica Parker shows she still has her Sex And The City style while filming the series’ reboot in New York.
She was spotted biting her lip as she strutted along a sidewalk in this ice-blue suit with matching bag while making Just Like That.
It arrives on our screens next month and follows the adventures of her character Carrie, along with Miranda and Charlotte.
But Kim Cattrall's sex-mad Samantha will not be returning.
