'not my cup of tea'

I refused to do Love Island – bitching in swimwear isn’t for me says Kerry Katona’s daughter Lilly, 18

KERRY Katona’s daughter Lilly has revealed she turned down Love Island because she likes “intellectual conversations”.

The 18-year-old, whose dad is singer Brian McFadden, recently made her reality TV debut alongside her mum after shunning the dating show.

Discussing why she didn’t want to do it, Lilly told new! Magazine: “It’s not really my cup of tea.

“I respect Love Island but all that hanging around in swimsuits all the time, bitching with random people… I like to have intellectual conversations and a laugh.”

She had previously made her feelings clear on the show saying she disliked "being romantic" or showing off her body.

"I hate PDAs. I had a boyfriend for two years and I would not let him touch me in public," Lilly told OK! Magazine.

"For most people going in the villa, being surrounded by all those hunky men, it's a dream come true - for me, it'd be my worst nightmare.”

She also added that it would "kill" her Irish grandmother if she had decided to take part in the show’s antics.

Lilly recently made her showbiz debut on E4’s Celebrity Ghost Trip alongside her mum Kerry.

The rising star was last linked to sales and marketing coordinator Dayen Blanchard, who recently celebrated his 26th birthday.

The loved-up couple were spotted out for dinner in Cheshire last month.
