Jess Wright reveals wedding fears and ‘bridezilla moment’ after marrying fiance William Kemp in long-delayed ceremony
JESS Wright feared that her wedding wasn't going to happen and had ONE "bridezilla moment" after marrying fiance William Lee-Kemp in a long-delayed ceremony in September.
The pair were supposed to tie the knot in June 2021, but it was delayed for three months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Luckily the couple - who have been together since January 2019 - finally got to celebrate their special day and even got it all on camera for their new ITVBe show Jess Wright: The Wedding.
Although everything went to plan on the day, the couple did have their worries that it might not have been able to go ahead as their chosen venue was Basílica de Sant Francesc in Palma.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Jess said: "We didn't know up until a month before the wedding if it was happening if I'm honest.
"It was just crazy we never knew, it was always 'will it, won't it? Will there be restrictions, won't there be restrictions?'
"And up until the week leading up, the restrictions were changing by the week.
"So it was like the amount of guests, the curfew time, the masks, it was painful!"
Although the former Towie star felt at ease on the days leading up to the big day, she did manage to have one "bridezilla moment" which was brought on by the pressure.
Jess confessed: "The day before the rehearsals was probably my only bridezilla moment, but I was I was quite relaxed. I just couldn't relax myself it was really strange.
"I felt like I couldn't breathe, you have that kind of feeling of something is on your chest, and it's just I suppose the anxiety of the build up, and the hoping that everything goes right."
Covid-19 nearly meant that Jess and the businessman thought that they were going to have to tie the knot in secret.
Jess confessed: "There were many times we were like let's just run away and just do it but yeah, we were being filmed and and also we wanted our dream day, and we kind of pretty much got it in the end.
"So I'm glad we stuck it out."
Jess jetted off to Spain with her 12 bridesmaids for her hen do, and confessed that their boozy antics nearly "killed her".
She said: "The hen killed me. We went to Ibiza and by the last day I couldn't even drink, I had to like really power through.
"But at the wedding, we had a bit of a hangover, but I think we were on such a high, it kind of got us through and then we did like a lunch and drinks thing the following day.
"So we we kind of had to get back into the swing of things again, so it was all good."
The new 90-minute special will explore the last year and a half of them planning their special day, as well as the actual event itself.
She said: "You get a real insight into my life and my family, my friends.
"I do some other things in there that aren't just about the wedding. It's just a really kind of mad moment. I can't believe that the weddings being filmed and it's going to be broadcast. It's crazy!"
Jess kept her relationship with William a secret until she posted a photo of the hunk in May 2019 on Instagram.
They later got engaged in March 2020.
Their relationship has gone from strength to strength and it seems like they could be ready to start a family in the near future.
