Family Fortunes’ Gino D’Acampo LIVID after being dealt brutal snub about his looks

ITALIAN celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo came runner up to Bruno Tonioli on Family Fortunes’ test question.

Picking up the mantle of hosting the ITV fan favourite show in 2020, Gino, 45, laughed off the insult of not being the top choice by the 100 people who were asked who was the most “handsome, funny, charming and charismatic Italian man on television”.

Expecting his name to appear in the prime leaderboard position, “of course, the answer is…” Gino was met by shocked faces from the contestants and laughter from the audience as he spoke about his disprovable in Italian. 

Giving an example of the game's rules to the Young and Patrick families, Bruno Tonioli, 65, scored the top spot on the leaderboard, with 92 of the 100 people saying he was their fave Italian stallion.

Having the last laugh now chef, presenter, and tv personality, Gino has become a household name after entertaining the nation for years on This Morning before making a move to shows such as Gordon, Gino & Fred's Road Trip before hosting the game show.

Previous hosts of Family Fortunes include the likes of Bob Monkhouse, who first fronted the show in 1980, Les Dennis and most recently Vernon Kay.

Vernon was the long-running host on the show's revival All Star Family Fortunes from 2006 until 2015, which ended after its eleventh season. 

In clips from the show, Gino sported a tailor-fitted three-piece navy ensemble, green shirt, dark tie and floral pocket square and was put through his paces as Roy and Darren from the Young family taught him to line dance.

Bringing the two centre stage, he asks them to “come here and show him what to do” to “get an idea to see if he can follow.”

Looking more like someone who was trying to impersonate Michael Flatley, Gino tried his best to keep up with the dancing duo.

Family Fortunes continues on Sunday at 7pm on ITV.
